Hi, everyone.

I have grown up all my life surrounded by bikes and I have recently been offered the opportunity to purchase an old BSA complete with sidecar but I don't even know where to start with regards to model/value etc.

I am hoping that someone may be able to assist me with finding out what model the bike is from the pictures and give me some guidance on if it is worth me buying.

It is sad to see such a beautiful bike not on the road and i'm really interested in taking this challenge on.

There is no paperwork or history with the bike, only thing I know is it was bought at an auction in Denmark 10yrs ago and shipped to Dubai.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Michael

a single with possibly a Steib sidecar and Metzeler front tyre!!

can you see what the frame number is possibly may even be same as engine number.

Looks like a rigid B31 or B33 so perhaps late 1940's early 1950's ....although the forks dont look right... check the engine number on the LHS crankcase - that should prefix as B31 etc

Looks a straightforward project..plenty of bits available
B31 (1955)-C11G (1954)-B175 (1971)-C11 (1949)

The BB31 frame numbers commenced in late 1952 and this one is probably 1954.
