Hi guys I have just purchased a 1953c11 and am looking forward to working on it for the summer,
any tips would be appreciated thank you

What sort of tips/help are you looking for?

If you come across any problems during your fettling/rebuild - post them on here; a lot of knowledgeable good blokes on here always willing to offer advice!

If you have not already got them get yourself a good set of whitworth sockets and or combination spanners. I would also invest in a workshop manuel. Most of these things can be sourced on tinterweb (ebay) at a reasonable price.
Hope this helps.

I got all my sockets at Whitwebbs Jumble ten pence each, just had to sort through their boxes of bits. Good luck.

Suggest get a parts book also.

BSA did not do workshop manuals in the 1950s but issued service sheets.

If you are a BSAOC member you can download a parts book and service sheets.

Hi guys the whitworth spanner's not a problem all came from my a40 days, how to service a Dynamo
as it and the wiring are in a bad way, I have lots of questions and hope you do not mind as I am keen to learn.
Thank you all

Hi guys I have got things running but think that the wrong carb or jets have been fitted so that is the next job on the list, the gearbox is a little bit agricultural and possibly would benefit from a rebuild, any advice would be very welcome.
