Hi all
New member to the forum and BSAOC many moons ago at the age of 19 my pride and joy was a RR and whilst I was rebuilding painting and chroming my P&J I purchased for the princely sum of £30 an A7SS unfortunately I had a very serious accident on this machine ( not my fault and nothing I could do to avoid ) it put paid to my motorcycling days and left me partially disabled
Now at the ripe old age of 64 having lived with and managed my partial disabilities ( even doing a few car track days ) I am gonna try again as I won't be able to ride a solo bike I am going to add a chair so I have found  a RR ( picture attached hopefully )and with the help of a couple of good friends I am going to repaint  her in royal red black oil tank etc and hopefully with a few adjustments get to ride once again so I will probably asking a few questions alon the way first question can anyone help me with id I have been told it's RR but as the bike is 1960 as dated by the BSAOC for one of the previous owners I am thinking it could be a SR the eng is DA10R8830 frame GA78650 can anyone give me any pointers please apologies if this is the wrong area to post this but I'm sure I will get used to the site the more I use it and apologies if I have sent anyone to sleep  Many thanks Dave Mitchell

Frame number is 1960, engine number is 1963 season (from September 1962), either Super Rocket or Rocket Gold Star. It would be worth getting a dating certificate from the BSAOC which would identify which model, to which dealer and when supplied.

Road Rockets were made 1954-1957 and Super Rocket 1957-1963.
