Hi all, looking for a wee bit of advice
I recently replaced all seals etc around primary side to eliminate oil leaks, with success. However I noticed at the time that one link plate on the primary chain was split so I ordered a new one, Regina chain.
It being a good day, I decided to fit, however although it has the same amount of links, it's very tight. Goes on ok, sprockets both sides are nearly new. Fitting the chain tensioner is not practical, I can get it on but really tightens chain.
I made a spacer and have installed without said tensioner until it stretches a bit.
Should I do this, or do I need to spend lots more money on different primary chains?
Thanks

rhyatt

I just opened the slot length a whisker on the adjuster until it went on easily.

Hi rhyatt, good idea, why did I not think of that, will run it for a few weeks then get the file out
Thank you

Probably find that after those few weeks the chain will be fine..
