Can anyone help me with this problem.
I have just fitted a new gearbox sprocket seal to my gold flash, on tightening the main nut up the sprocket  is pulling hard against the seal case ,no shims where there before.
So can anyone tell me what's happening.

The new seals can be hard to seat correctly, they are usually just a fraction larger diameter and a fraction thicker than the originals which makes it difficult to get them right against the bearing and to get the circlip back into its groove.

Check seal is fully in the recess and against the bearing and that the circlip is fully in its groove.

Thanks Julian,
Yes it was very difficult to get the circlip back in its groove I think I'll give the bearing case a squeeze in the fly press.
