A65 speedo drive

This is a question for owners of early unit twins (mine is a 1962 A65) and late pre-units.
I'm in the throes of recommissioning a rebuild on my 62 A65 and have decided to tackle the oil leak from the speedo drive by replacing the driven speedometer bush which the cable fits onto at the base of the timing side cover. It is secured by a screw which you can see just under where the gear lever sits.
The workshop manual helpfully tells you to extract the bush. Are there any problems? Does it just pull out? I've tried but it won't move and yes I have taken the locating screw out!
Some books talk about two oil seals but the exploded diagram in the parts book only shows one. Any thoughts on this?
Lastly I ordered two oil seal rings but really can't see any way of fitting them to the bush.
Sorry there are no photos. Windows 10 has decided to stop downloading from SD cards.
