C15 Ignition switch

I have recently acquired a 1959 C15.  I know the ignition switch has 3 positions, off, ign & emg.  Unfortunately the switch lacks the black plastic cover which, I believe, is marked with them.   Therefore the problem I have I don't know which way to turn the key to get ign.  The key off position is horizontal.  Do I turn it clockwise?

Clockwise is normal ignition.
Anticlock is emergency start with a flat battery.
