Hi
looking for recomendations for insurance for my new steed.

I'm insured with Footman James, they seem alright so far. Not had to make a claim yet.
As with all insurance companies, once the price of the insurance starts rising i'll be looking elsewhere.

I use Carol Nash with agreed value (photos etc).
I'd shop around to get best deal for you.

Also with carol nash very fair to me in my opinion,

Carole Nash again.
What insurance is like asking which oil though. Twenty replies with twenty one different answers.

I think a lot of the insurance companies now have been taken over by other agencies, it's difficult to determine which is the correct one to go for, I personally have gone from Carol Nash to Footman James then changed when they became Peter James, who I am still with, even though it's another company now, the beauty of it, I found that there is no need for photo's for an agreed value, you put what you think it's worth and they honour that, I only realised that after having a slight mishap on one of my bikes.

I'm with Footman James, who specialise in VMCC Bikes.  They initially gave me a quote of £110, then any additional bikes at £3 each, So I added all my garage queens as well.    However they have raised the payment now to be £280.  All my bikes are over 40 years, and get the good fee, but my 2008 Royal Enfield maybe raised the premium.

Peter James / RH are both good - the latter is cheaper as they don't charge for amndments, are quick with payouts but in my case refused cover after I had 2 bikes stolen from my garage. Although it was a single incident they refused to treat it as such so I had 2 claims in the year. Both for relatively small amounts.

Thanks everyone,
i do realise its a bit of a lottery when choosing who to go with, just thought i would ask who favours who.
Been 10 years since i bought bike insurance, as you get older you tend to read more small print, then it gets a bit of a chore.

Thanks again

Just this afternoon I got a good deal from Hagerty, but other insurers were only slightly more. I suggest you get three quotes (you'll have had enough by then!) and see what happens. I got the quotes over the phone which I found easier than filling in an online form.
