Can anyone recommend someone that can supply a grey faced speedo that fits into the rubber cups, preferably 1.25:1 ratio or 15:12.

The drive fitted to mine is a 2:1 but I don't believe its correct for the year or matches the current fitted speedo that is in need of repair.

I've decided to buy a new drive (11/16 spindle) with matching speedo but I'm struggling to find one that fits the cups.

I was in your situation with my USA '69 Thunderbolt.  I cleaned my existing drive unit, then purchased a used but functional replacement Speedo, number SSM 5001/05, which was correct for my machine.  It reads a bit high because it's dirty internally (never rebuilt), but it's fine for everyday use.
Also, congratulations! Of all my machines, my '69 Thunderbolt is probably my favorite.  TLS front brake is great, plenty of torque, simple and lightweight.  Perfect in town machine.

Thanks Tommy
I think the speedo is repairable but the drive is incorrect.
Trying to find the correct drive with spindle diameter to match current speedo but no luck so far, also trying to find a speedo to match the drive is not going well - everyone has sold out.

Think I may go a similar route and use old drive and get speedo repaired and hope it sort of works until something turns up in the future or replace drive and speedo if I can find something that fits.

My speedo is SSM 5001/03a 1600 which I think is a US 2:1
