I would like to convert my C12 from 6v to 12v system but need clear advice to what is needed. Can anyone please advise parts required and any other useful information. I'm finding conflicting reports on various sites and need clarification. Thanks. Joe

EDDIE SIMPSON

if your bike is an alternator version then opt for a 3 phase alternator for good lights and electronic ignition if preferred

I think the C12 used a 3 wire lucas or wipac alternator.
If so then dead easy(assuming the 6v unit is currently charging) to join the 2 of the 3 wires together and buy a 12v 4 wire reg rec from ebay.
Change the bulbs, ht coil and bobs your uncle

Thank you both for your comments.
Rhyatt - from the information you have given, would I need to upgrade the condenser to a 12v. Thanks in advance. Joe

No, they're pretty generic really.
I'm unsure where the C12 condenser lives, but if it lives externally somewhere, then you could if you wished but not critical.
