  any ideas how to find original paint colours of a A10 gold flash 1961 as it would have left the factory, its currently black, there is no mention of colour original buff card but does have traces of blue, presumably [Nuttley Blue] on the underside of petrol tank

Quite possibly on the dating records, if you enquire with the BSAOC, they should be able to tell you or you might have to apply for a certificate and send detailed photos of the bike.
