An interesting event with the DVLA

At the end of March I bought a 1949 B31 that had been Sorned for at least 12 years. An on line change of ownership was carried out. After three weeks a new V5c had not arrived so I rang DVLA. The explanation was that they randomly selected old vehicles that were going through a change of ownership that had been off road for a number of years checking for theft. A couple of weeks later a letter arrived requesting up to date photographs of the bike engine and frame number. All carried out as requested, my new V5c arrived yesterday. Anyone else experienced this?
