Hi what do you all find best for lifting Bsa. A ramp or jack. Just to make things at a better height for restoration. Many thanks

I just use a bed carrier for the elderly, works fine for me. I can park the bike and move it easy in the corner of the garage. Always wanted to buy a professional carrier but this works fine for me.

That looks great where on earth did you get it? Cheers

I came across it while I was working in an elderly home. Wanted to do something with a hospital bed, it has the same construction. This was more ready for me, it is used for lifting your own bed. A hospital bed was far to wide and heavy. it's 65x210cm took a wooden board covered with sheet metal.
Made a fail safe construction so that the pump isn't under continuing pressure.
The front wheel comes in a clamp. Homemade also.

Disadvantage is you have to push the bike prox 20cm high on the ramp. I'm used to do this and I'm driving it on the table. You can block the wheels and go in every direction when I move it to have more space in the garage.
With a professional Carrier these are more heavyier and not much flexibility. I used it now more than 25 years now.

You can call it, going Dutch ;D ;D

Thats brilliant.

By the way. I have a set of plans for a hydraulic lift if anyone wants them.

I use a block and tackle to take the weight and then a table or stool to drop the wheels on, you just need a strong beam too attach it to. Being old tech these B & T's are well cheap
1950 M20 Nearly there, just a firing up problem
1953 M21 getting it all together
1967 C15 oily rag but runs very well
1962 Ariel Golden Arrow, needs a lot more work
