Magneto cut out question

Hello

The carbon and spring on the magneto cut out has worn away on my rgs rep

It's the one that earths the point out to stop the engine


Is it the same part as the pick up spring/ brush's  ?

The answer is no they are not the same, the pickup brush is a bit longer it will fit but may need shortening so it does not bind when the cover is screwed on. I use a pickup brush on my A10.

The cutout brush is the same as the armature earthing brush part 470190 and the originals have a blob of solder between brush and spring but I dont think it really matters.

Photo shows a new old stock pickup brush part 451260 top and a new old stock cutout brush bottom.
