Hello all, I picked up a gearbox that had the main casing modified (lugs partly cut away) at an Autojumble a few years ago which the seller said was a swinging arm A10 unit. I also picked up a casing, my plan was to transfer the internals into the unmodified casing. Now I am getting around to doing the job I am not so sure, the "modified" gearbox has part number 29-3445 on it, which I believe is a C10-C11 gearbox, the spare casing has part number 42-3005 on it which I think is correct for A10 swinging arm.  I would appreciate advice as to the identification of the two gearboxes, have I got them correct? and secondly more importantly will my plan of transferring the internals from the C10-C11 gearbox into the A10 casing work, are the parts interchangeable?
Thanks in advance
Alistair

Some but not all parts from your box will fit the swinging arm 67 3005 casting.

The inner and outer covers and gearchange mechanism from the C11 box are the same as A10 plunger box and these do not fit the swinging arm box.

The mainshaft is different.

It would be best to compare the parts book pages for both boxes to see the complete picture.

Thank you Julian for the advice, not the answer I was hoping for but better to know before I get all the bits spread over the bench.
