1969 B25 should it have an outer timing cover gasket

I have taken off the timing side outer cover to find the cause of a oil weep from the gear change shaft. I was expecting to find a gasket between outer and inner covers but just found lots and lots of gasket goo. I had a look in the Haynes manual and the Rupert Ratio book but the diagrams of the bottom end don't show a gasket

If I need a gasket for the cover can someone point me towards a good gasket or gaskets.

The only large gasket used on the B25 was under the chaincase cover. You have to use gasket goo under both timing covers but be careful where you put it!

Cheers it threw me when there was no gasket I knew that the crankcase wouldn't have a gasket but I thought the outer cases had them. Years of tinkering with Japanese bikes has lead me to expect gaskets everywhere
