I bought my 1971 Victor 250 B25T in the spring of 1972 and have gone through and completely rebuilt the engine, trans, clutch etc. I have been trying to buy a 20 inch by 3.00 for quite sometime and much to my shock I just ordered a brand new Ensign Universal Trials 300S20. Coker Trye company now have the molds and have them in stock. If anyone else is in the same boat I was in locating a proper front tyre for a B25T or B50T contact Zack at Coker 1-866-516-3215 extension 227.

Unfortunately, when I restored my bikes many years ago, there seemed to be absolutely no prospect of ever getting a 20" front tyre again and so I was forced to rebuilt the wheels with 21" rims. I'm sure they would have been better with the original 20" sized wheels but at least they match the size I've got on several other off-roady bikes I've got!

I was literally about an inch (no pun intended) away from doing the same thing, going to a 21 on the front but had concerns as there obviously was a reason Victors came with 20 inch on the front and 18 inch on the back. I was about to give up bite the bullet and just do, thought I would give it one last try yesterday and...I should have it in a couple of weeks.

I definitely think these bikes look better with 20" wheels and it was just the case that, back in the mid-1960's, the standard off-road front wheel size was 20" which much later changed to the current 21" standard. The downside to having 21" front wheels fitted is that potentially you loose 1/2" of possible front suspension travel before the tyre hits the unsprung mudguard. For normal road use, I don't think this is a problem but it may be if you took the bike off-road and hit some big bumps!
