Hello

In the absence of any prospect of a ride out on a warm sunny day anytime soon ..... I have resolved to fit a suzuki clutch conversion  - the previous owner of my bike had never gotten around to installing  it himself.. though he said it is assembled up and includes all I need to fit ...

Any advice on removing/fitting would be most welcome - I am a competent mechanic on 1960's and 1970's  classic cars.... but my bike experience is more limited and my RGS replica is my first BSA since my D1  Bantam in 1972 , and i know enough to realise that any job - however simple - is a learning curve the first time you do it...

Thanks in anticipation of any responses

Best

If you go onto the A7A10 forum you can ask or search the website I have seen info on that site about fitting a Suzuki clutch.   www.a7a10.net/forum/

Hi Matt,

I knew about Suzuki clutches for A10s and there was a kit available and I am sure that someone on this forum has or had one fitted.  Said to be a great improvement. I think it was a Phil Pearson conversion and that the clutch still relied on the engine shock absorber spring.
However, I have not come across a conversion for A65.  It would be interesting to see some photos.
The triplex chain must have presented a bit of a challenge and the shock absorber/cushdrive in the clutch centre which has now ben removed so perhaps a hash transmission.

Thanks both for the response.

I will be getting the clutch in a month or so and will post my experience of the change here in case it is of any interest or use for anyone else considering the upgrade...

best wishes to all for a better 2021.... from a glum and gloomy Brighton UK
