Hello everyone
Can anyone tell me how many Hornets were made in 1966 ?

As it happens, I've just indexed book 272, which covers A50 and A65 for 1966 season .... and there are 975 A65H listed (I knew it wold come in handy sometime - just not quite so soon!!).  There are a number of A65 machines in book 271 which were despatched from September 1965 (mainly to the USA), and would probably be "1966" models - but a quick visual scan doesn't show any Hornets.

Further to that - the ones in book 271 are mainly "Spitfire Hornet" (engine numbers A65EC xxxx), rather than the 1966 A65H xxx engines of the Hornets.

Had dating letter from owners club long Time ago and it Said its one of special batch that went to states on wasp blue

No sorry, dating letter it was blue and later on some one told that some dealer ordered 650's in wasp blue

According to catalogue (attached), Mandarin Red for Hornet and Sapphire Blue for Wasps ... but no doubt some "crossover" occurred. What's the frame number?
