Hi all,I  find myself in a dilemma regarding changing from the oiginal monobloc carbs fitted to the 67 hornet to new premier concentrics. Not been able to obtain amatching pair of 389/689 originality is out. Cost of new monoblocs is high compaired to premiers. My question then is what would you good people do?
Am i right in thinking that jetting is  different than original  and the cables may be different? Any thoughts you have are most welcome.
Dave.

Hi Dave,

Try Surrey Cycles. Very helpful and will jet the carbs for your bike.  The cables will vary a bit as the fitment on the slide is different.

The jetting change shouldn't vary by much, but the main jet on a concentric is around 20% smaller than its monoblock equivalent.

If you have a set of monoblocks already consider having them refurbished.

Thanks gents, the monoblocs are shot! The 689 has gone completely porous and beyond repair. I cannot even find a decent used one! The joys of restoring!

you can still use a 2 x 389 monobloc carbs. monoblocs are a better carb i think.

Thanks Eddie that looks like the way! To hell with the expense!
