BSA B series single, gearchange shaft-worn splines!

Hello everyone. My C25 engine has knackered gear change shaft splines, been botched a few times alraedy. Rather than fit the usual repair section, I'm going to try to use something with better splines with a matching Honda pedal that will be more robust, the original splines are only just better than surface scratches IMO. I have a replacement in mind, but before I take my old one out, has anyone got a similarly worn complete shaft I can buy to use as a guinea pig? Cheers folks!
