Hi
Does anyone know if you can get the old camshaft bush 68-0022 at its original length, two that I bought separately are shorter at approx 24mm longe while the old one was 29mm long approx, so if you can't get the old length do you press the new one flush with the casting or down until it touches the breather disc, any advice would be welcomed

From memory, the only one supplied was 14x10x10.
You'll have quite a job removing the old one, I had to cut a couple of slots in the old one to enable me to remove the bush.
After an overnight soak in oil, just gently tap new one in  , being careful to support the centre casting.
I pushed mine in to where the outer edge of the old bush finished, then I knew the cam would push on fine.

sorry, this cam I referred to was for Bantams

Please tell us what year your A65 is?

the drive side bush is used to hold the breather disc in position. so it needs to be down all the way. I would be concerned that you havent been sold the wrong bush - say for an A10? as dimensionally the A65 and A10 cams are similar.

Why did you change this bush though? whilst idler gear bushes take some hammer and aught to be replaced in both the crank case and inner timing cover, then line reamed. The cam bushes them selves are so well supported that you very seldom ever need to change them, especially the one in the DS case.
