A reminder that the engine is B44 and the donor engine was a B25 I believe...

More questions:
1) What is this braided pipe? It feeds the rocker box.
2) What year and model had this hole? My PDF parts list doesn't show this feature in the inner timing cover...
3) I can use the pressure release valve hole to pressure test the "o" ring in the inner cover and the crank shaft oil seal. My oil can needs a rubber tip. Any advice please on what I could use?

Thanks

Spaceman

I think the outlet on the front of the inner timing cover was introduced on the B25/B44 around 1970 for an oil pressure transducer. It would be interesting to know the casting number on the inner timing cover you have?

That hole is for the oil pressure switch introduced for the 1970 season models.

The normal rocker oil feed is taken from the oil return line where it emerges under the crankcase.

The rocker feed taken from the pressure switch hole will likely reduce the pressure and quantity of oil getting to your big end.

Thanks for the information  :). Pointless nI suppose,  putting a pressure sensor in mine as it has a roller big end?
