does any know of an electrician in the Nottingham area who does rewires on site

Are you looking to get the current wiring harness repaired or are you after a complete rewire. Either way, it will probably be a lot cheaper to buy a new harness (~£80) which should not be too difficult to fit yourself - just a question of routing it and then fitting all the connections.
