Hello people
Not been riding much recently because on anything but smooth roads I find painfull jolts
Could anyone recommend new shocks etc
I am 74 years old not interested in speed or ear holing
Regards
Tim

I assume the shocks are already adjusted to their softest setting?

The problem with the C15 is that there is limited rear suspension travel to play with and to absorb bumps in the road. If you change the shocks to give softer springs, for example, you may find they then bottom out on the worst bumps and therefore do not achieve what your were hoping for.

That said, it would be worth checking how well the rear shocks are actually working although you would need to be able to remove the springs to do this. If the dampers are no longer functioning properly, this might explain why you are finding the ride unpleasant and a new set of stock C15 shocks might be all that is required to solve the problem.

Thanks for a quick response
Shocks came with the bike in boxes
Not sure they are adjustable
Will have a look and report back

TIGER

No visible way to adjust
Probably original with the bike
Given the restrictions stated
Could you point to possible replacement?

Spaceman

Most modern replacements are adjustable like the attached but you sometimes get a problem with them because the mounting bushes can be metric rather than imperial in size:

Hi
I've been very happy with shocks I've had from NJB shocks. He'll chat through your needs and not so expensive as Hagons.
