Hi I have split the crankcase on my c11g, the oil pump side of the case is off but the other side seems to be stuck on the crank. Do i just give it a good hit on the shaft to knock it off the case.  Thanks

presumably, as not been inside the engine, the oil pump side is a bi metal bush , it will come out easy.
depending on what roller/ball  bearing is on the primary side will determine answer.
if its a 2 part , one unlipped side bearing the inner will come out on the crank and the outer stays in the crankcase.
if its a 2 lipped fixed bearing, you will have to hit the end of the crank to knock the crank out of the bearing as the outer should be an interference/ heated fit into the cases. once crank is out , the outer or full bearing (depending on which fitted) you will have to heat the cases up for it to drop out, likewise when hot and new bearing to be used needs to be put in freezer to cool, will then drop into cases.

Thank you Chaz. I seem to have misplaced the workshop manual for it, I will give it another knock and see what happens. Regards Happy Days

best way I do them is with 3 or 4 hands.
rest the face of the case on  the edge of a bench and support with the crank facing down so weight of the crank helps lower and the case flat on the bench ensures it comes out square so not fighting against an angle. then use a hide hammer or copper or steel , protecting the end with a piece of wood.and knock down, the other persons hand can hold the crank as it comes out, note I didnt say drop as you dont want it to drop on the floor from a height.

of course, if you have access to a press with a large throat or hole in the table, it could be pressed out through that.

Hi Chaz sorry for the late reply. I did what you said and it came out, very much appreciated. Just got to put it back together now. Happy Christmas
