Gasket orientation

Can someone enlighten me as to which way around to install a new base gasket. Is it green side down or doesn't it matter? Never had a green one before.  Thanks all. Dave

Hi,
    Are you referring to Klingersil C-4324 gasket, green one side black the other? If so it doesn't matter which way around.
