Hi Arturo. I have several BSA catalogues from 1927 to 1939 but none of them give the weight or power output for any of the models. Some internet sites give the power for a BSA H30 as 5.57 hp  (Horse power) but this is incorrect as the engine was 557cc not hp. Also no weights are ever given for BSA pre-war motorcycles. If you need the weight you will have to get it weighed.
If all else fails you will have to state the power output as 5.57 hp as many internet sites will back you up on this, although incorrect. Regards
Alan

The HP rating given in pre war BSA catalogues, from 1925, was the ACU formula where 100cc = 1 hp. So under that formula 557cc = 5.57 hp. It is not related to bhp or KW. Some of the V twins in the catalogue do get a quote bhp- 1930 E30-14 given as 18 bhp and G30-15 as 24 bhp. For some unknown reason bhp not quoted for the singles.

A different rating was used by BSA pre 1925.

The page below comes from Pitmans Book of the BSA by Waysider, 1930 edition and shows the ACU RAC and Dendy Marshall formulae.

Second and third photos show 1930 catalogue entries for the H30-8 and some others.

I cannot find any weights for 1930 models, however the weight of 1929 H29 557cc model is given as 296 pounds in The Motor Cycle 14th February 1929 issue. I would suggest that the 1930 model, even with its different frame, would have similar weight.
