Bsa head problems

Hi guys
Just bought a head part No 68466 casting AAZ2  and serial number 1260 . The problem is I've just got a set of standard diamond black valves and guides from Map in USA and the inlet valves are far too big to fit , I've had a set before and fitted fine in my other bsa a65 1970but this head was supposed to be for a 1967 a65
Anyone know what year this head is from

Head casting 68 466 is part 68 465 when guides fitted.

This is from a pre 1966 Lightning or Spitfire Hornet.

Valve sizes were increased for 1966 hence the problem you have.

Thanks do you know what number I should be looking for so I get the right head
