Oil return

Hi guys
Has anybody ever removed the oil return pipe located in the sump
If so is it a case of just heating the case up and pulling out or is it threaded in on a a65 1967 engine

Warm it up and it will pull out. The hold on it isnt that great. Why do you want to remove it?

I want to face the casting as I've had the sump plate welded
