Front forks

I have a 58 B33 which is, as far as  I aware, is essentially bog standard. I also have a BSA TLS hub, spindle and wheel. My question would be...is it possible to graft the TLS hub onto my bike?. The obvious problem is that I have the QD front spindle which is completely different to the clamp device on the TLS, and the brake steady is integral to the lower fork shrouds and not a separate link. I am curious as to whether the later BSA/Triumph forks would transfer over to my bike, or whether to lower shrouds are interchangeable or any other option.

What brake do you have, normally the QD spindle is from  the half width early 8 inch brake. What ever you have you will need to change the fork sliders to the clamp up type.  If you use the A10 clamp up siders you will find that the lug on the slider that locates in the brake plate will be to short to fully engage. You can build up the lug with weld and reshape as I have done on my sons A10 or look for a set of forks from an A65.

Thank you Idie, Do I understand that the A65 forks in their entirety will fit into my existing yokes?

A65 forks up to 1968 will fit.

Only the 1968 Lightning and Spitfire with clamp up forks will take the TLS without being modified.

The 1969 on shuttle valve forks I do not think will fit your yokes, the shafts are larger diameter.

I see the question has already been answered. If it were mine I would do as I have done  to my sons Shooting Star. Use A10 sliders and build up the lug. This way all your mudguard stays can be used.

Many thanks guys...
