C15 stand

Hi folks
Has anyone repaired the centre stand lugs ?
It had the appearance of cast iron ??
Both lugs snapped off

silver solder should fix it.
You must get the parts near to red hot, flux on the joint and feed in the solder, it should run into the joint easily.

Not sure what you mean by lugs. I welded up my centre stand itself as I needed to repair it. No problems with my mig welder.

silver solder ?  really ?  will that be strong enough for a centre stand   
mind you, I have trouble with glueing things..
