C15 ss springs

I would like to fit softer springs at the rear. Are they available?

I managed to persuade my wife to ride pillion for a 1/2 mile trip to visit friends.
I was getting graunching noises from somewhere below. Not sure where or why, but softer springs
would not be a good idea, unless they were easily  adjustable.
