C15 newbie electrical questions

Hi everyone!
I'm a new member of the club having just inherited my dads C15 that he owned from when he was younger😃 in the process of getting it roadworthy as it had been disassembled
It has a new loom but I was wondering if it's worth upgrading to 12v electrics?
I only plan to ride at the weekend and occasional trips to work so not planning on night riding.
Just wondered if there is much benefit to 12v or not?
I need a battery for the bike so want to decide before I start buying bits!

I have a bantam with 6 electrics and i find it perfectly fine.

Like you it rarely. If ever goes out in the dark.

In your situation i don't think id bother changing it if everything works ok.
