Investigation: What have I bought?

Hi everyone!
I am both excited and scared (and Swedish). I've been looking for a bike to work on this winter, I was mainly looking for 80s and 90s dual-sport bikes but when this popped up I couldn't resist it. I bought it unseen for 850 pounds, and I'm going to pick it up next week. The owner didn't know anything about it, except that it had been in her barn for many many years. She claimed it was from 1980, but, well... I've requested the original registration papers from the archives but they wont show up for at least three weeks (if there are any..)

So, being a complete rookie in the game I thought I'd ask if any of you could tell me a bit about what I've bought?

Looks like a B40 350. Engine or frame number would help identify.

Ex Military Bsa B40 is my guess, good price at £850 well done.
