Taking the bull by the horns and buying a new carby (Amal 375) for my C12. The old one has gone Welsh (plenty of leeks) and a bit tempermental so on with a new piece. Looking for suggestions as to the best supplier , (for that read price) Must have it running right for the MGP..   Griff

That way you know you're getting a real one and not a dodgy copy  ;)
They are very good to deal with and freely give advice.

I got one from Hitchcock's near Solihull.
Same price as Amal but as close to me could collect.
Most of the suppliers are the same price!

After messing about with old carbs on my B44 and Matchless G9 . I decided on a new monobloc for my new rebuild DB34 Gold star . It fired up 2nd kick and just ticked over perfect . I had taken the new monobloc to pieces and checked for any swarf etc , found none , Put all the screws back in to factory settings and is perfect . Never again will i use an old carb new one is less than £200 and is so much better .
