Inner primarychaincase

Hi all. Sounds silly but I had taken the primary chain case off of my 1963 Goldflash several months ago and I can't remember if the lug at the back end on the inner case for the fixing bolt goes on the inside or outside of the lug on the frame. I think it goes on the inside but would like to be sure. If anyone knows or could look at their machine for me I would be grateful. Thanks in anticipation.
