Can anyone recommend someone who can repair/replace the down tubes on an oif Firebird?
Mine look like they have been rammed into a mountain!
The side stand bracket is also missing
Any help gratefully received

Assuming that they aren't bent, (they don't look so in the picture, I would just get anyone with welding equipment to fill and dress the dents. If you make up a sidestand bracket, they can weld this on at the same time.
The wear is probably from the bash plate which has gradually worn the legs away over time.

It looks as though the damage is only cosmetic in nature and is unlikely to affect the strength of the frame. Replacing bits of frame tubing is not that easy in practice. As said, filling the dent with welding or brazing would probably be the best approach if you can't live with the sight of them.

I tend to agree with Thumper, those tubes are so strong. Belt and Braces BSA called it.
