Two questions boys
My clutch is heavy on my a65 1972 I've run the cable on the right side because I thought it would be lighter?
Second thing I've left my bike sit for six months and today when I was going on a ride noticed the oil just below minimum so I thought it's wet dumped so went for a one hour ride and it's still on minimum
So any ideas it mad leaked a little out of the right outer casing but certainly not that much, it's not in the primary either as I've checked

Hi,

Depending on how long the cable is you can run it on either side of the head stock so long as the curve is gentle. Then run it over the top of the engine to curve down to the case. Try to avoid fastening the cable to allow free movement.
If it has not been done recently then make sure that the inner cable is lubricated along its entire length.  There are cable oilers that can be used with an air pump to get the oil right through.
It may also be worth squirting a bit of spray grease or chain lube through on to the clutch arm and ball ramp in the timing cover.  Also check that the lever is free.

Re the oil level.  Did you check the oil level before leaving the bike to sit for 6 months?

One of my bikes had higher oil consumption and I could not work it out.  I have an old carpet in the shed.  When I moved the bike I found a very slow drip from the oil feed union.  On looking closely I found the carpet was soaked in oil.  So look for any small leaks that are dripping and disappearing.  Put a clean sheet of paper underneath and see if there are drips.

Yes cable has been lubricated and ran it down the right hand side of tank

Yes oil was dripping out a little but not that much
So I can't figure it out
