Hi
I have just purchased a part assembled '1969 B25 Starfire' which I aim to get back on the road this summer.  To help with this I am trying to date it.  The engine number begins JD which suggests August 1970.  The frame number however begins NS which does not match any references.  Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Yes I am already a member and the BSAOC were fantastic helping me get my A65 registered.  Just wondered if anyone had any ideas. I will get my application submitted!

Hi Tim,
The code JD is August 1970
The code NS is rather strange, N is October, but BSA only used year letters up to J
Examine the frame stamping to check that it has not been modified.

Any chance the S from the NS could be an E .
1956 bsa GS DB500
1968 mk1 Rocket 3
2006 ducati 999R .

Thanks for the replies.  It was the NS that was puzzling me.  The letters are definitely NS.  Not easy to see but zooming in on a photo confirms that is what they are and the bike is UK registered with those details.

Jeff thanks, I will contact you direct.
