Starfire running after key removed

Hi, just fitted an battery/oil pressure minder but after refitting the wiring back to the ignition switch the engine will not turn off, lights turn off with key
Where did I go wrong?!

It's probably running on the alternator output - I'd check how the ammeter is wired (if fitted). The ignition key should break the connection from the alternator side of the ammeter to the ignition circuit.

Thanks, I had the coil connected to live! Took me an hour with the multimeter
