Im new to all these  dynamo issues , anyway my bike didn't have the correct E3LM , so I purchased some pieces and wanted to convert to 12v as the bike was already running 12v , so I watched all the videos on you tube and set about putting it all together,  great no issues , hooked it up to a battery as shown in the instructions,  great it motored in the directionof the arrow ,  got it installed in the bike and  worked my way through the wiring with the new DVR2 , Great no issues yet , then the big moment , finally got the old girl fired up , but sadly no charging amps , so I read all the forums , sounded everyone had trouble getting these things to work 🤔 , at least the smoke stayed inside 🤣 after sleeping on it and more reading I tweeked that the markings and arrow were at the wrong end they should be at the drive end , so it was easy to unscrew the brush end and pull that off , turn the feild coil around and reinstall and get it all back to gather refit the bush wires etc , ran backwards , swapped the brush wires only and now going the right way,  reinstalled it , and finally it is charging,  i relize that i could have just swapped the wires , but it would have annoyed me having the stamped arrow wrong , very pleased now , hope my mistake helps someone.  Cheers
