Manifold studs - bad or cei threads

I am after some manifold studs, part no 68-0066
I believe they are 2 5/8 inches long.. Drags lists them as 21/8 inches long but I need them 2 5/8 inches long.
Been on the phone to the usual suppliers and no one has any. I've got some 1/4 bsf threaded rod and I may need to make some. I am not sure if the threads should be cei threads which are not quite the same as bsf. Would I be safe using bsf rod as I wouldn't be tightening the studs that tight!

1/4 is too small to start off with if we're discussing carb manifold studs.

You want 5/16 CEI/BSF (BSF into the head). if I remember rightly I bought mine (several lengths for different length inlet tracts) from Motalia. They are on eBay as well as their own site. Again if my memory serves me
Correct they list standard length studs as well as over size.

It is the stud holding the manifold to the head. The carb studs are separate. There are 4 manifold studs with 2 of them being longer to locate the front fixing of the side panels ( early A50 ). I thought they were 1/4 cei

Hi Adrian,
              You will be safe using the bsf rod you have. It maybe prudent to give draganfly a call or email, the stud should be 2 5/8" long, they have probably got their listing wrong.

I bought a rear brake plate spacer (its like a big washer) for the A50  from them recently they listed the correct size on the website and sent me a lovey plated one - with a smaller bore - wouldn't fit but they did replace it with the correct one very quickly. The replacement fitted OK but was un plated and had some surface rust. Out with the wire brush and rattle cans sorted it!

Seems to be a common thing with Draganfly. As though half the parts are sat in plastic tubs full of water. You shouldn't have to dress parts which are new (not talking about NOS) unless you want to alter its appearance
