hi,
can anyone suggest a bike stand to lift the back of the bike to remove the rear wheel? quite a few on ebay but just wondered if anyone could suggest one.
many thanks colin

A cheap paddock stand will do the trick, but for swinging arm bikes like ours, you need to remove the silencers first.

I was thinking that myself, it was very awkward getting it  off and had to remove the chain cover and completely remove the brake linkage which I wasn't expecting to do.

Plastic Beer crate, you can always butcher it. Strong as an Ox.

Hi Colin,

What type of hub does your bike have?  I think it should be a quick release type so should be easier than what you have described.  Even the full width hub has the facility to leave chain and sprocket in place.

Whats wrong with the centre stand or doesn't it have one.

 :) :) :) :)

Put the centre stand on about a 2" thick lump of board about 12" x 6" that will lift it high enuf.
