Hi,
Please could someone give me an idea what tyre pressures I should be using.

My BSA Instruction Manual quotes the pressures as being 18psi F and 20psi R. But that was in 1965 with 1965 tyres.

My machines run on 3.25 x 18" F and 3.50 x 18" R Metzeler ME22's - I weigh about 75kg

Cheers all in anticipation

Hi,
    Welcome to the forum.

I would ask their technical department, failing that it looks like ME22 tyres are generally 1.75-1.8 front and 2.0-2.5 rear.

Many thanks Bess for your prompt response - that's a great help and an even better starting point.

Hi,

Usually the pressures given in a manual are, if I remember correctly, for a rider weighing 10 stone or 140lbs.  Increase the front by 1psi and the rear by 2psi for each 2 stone or 28lbs over the 10 stone (63.63kg).
