C11 wiring

Hi all
Can you help please?.
Have a 1951 C11, don't no if it's positive or negative earth.  It has a coil and dynamo set up. I do know if i wire it one way, the amp meter goes +the other -.

Geoff, should be positive earth on the C11 if you are getting a false reading on the amp meter change the wiring over on the meter, if you connected the battery on the wrong way round you may have to flash the dynamo, to put it right,

Thanks for info. Bought this as a barn find for something to do, so not  had it running. Not had a dynamo bike before, so a bit of a learning curb.

Hi Geoff,
I am a little off topic, are you able to tell me what the dynamo model is. My C11 1951 has a E3HM-LO, I am sure it's the wrong one.
