Kick start jams

Hello. My A65 Lightning Rocket will only kick over about 4 or 5 times then jams solid. I have replaced the worn kick start quadrant and pinion but still jams up. I can only assume the problem lies in the gear box as the crank turns over no problem. Any ideas what the cause could be before I pull the gear box out?
Thanks
Gary

I vaguely remember a thread on here sometime ago about new kickstart quadrants with the first tooth not quite making the mesh as BSA intended. One of our throng explained with a very useful diagram what angle the contact should be for it to work correctly.
Have a dig through previous threads and see if you can find t.

had it on my T100 and answer was to put in gear and rock the bke to disengage then neutral and have another go
