Hello all

I hope someone can guide me as I've been looking high and low for a sump plate for my 1962 C15 that has an integral drain plug.  I'm after one of these to make it simpler/quicker to drain the oil from the crankcase to deal with her wet sumping after being stood for a few weeks/months between rides.

Can anyone suggest a company that sells them as my Google searches always end up fruitless with 100s of tantalising results but always for other models.

Thanks in advance for any advise you can offer.

I got mine for the A50/65 from Wassells problem Ive found is as its lowered/bobbed the slightly deeper casting hits the ramp when running up.

I'm assuming you want be able to drain off wet-sumped oil?
If so, A quick and cheap solution I found is to get an old sump plate and get a good welder to weld on a 5/16 BSF or Cycle thread nut to a suitable area on the underside of it. Then drill a hole through it, dia smaller than the inside of the thread of course. Then get a hex head setscrew of the same thread as the by now welded on nut, and a suitably sized sealing washer, copper, aluminium, dowty or fibre - your preference. Fit it and there you have it!

Hi Chris and Chaz, thanks for your guidance.

I'd never considered making one up myself but you make it sound so straightforward that I'm going to hunt through my spares to see if I've got an old sump plate in there somewhere.
Cheers.
