Hi folks,
Had to nurse the bike back from a rideout today with a badly slipping clutch - bits of clutch spring fell out when I took the cover off.
Could any one please suggest where I could buy some springs ?

Cheers,
Bevan

Thanks Julian,
At 18 Euro + 20% postage and the fact that they seem to have a 30 Euro minimum purchase, means they will be a last resort i think !!

I've identified a couple of spring manufacturers not too far from me, so will try them first if nothing else turns up.

Are you familiar with this type of 6 spring clutch ? From the attached photos, you can see that the overall pressure is adjusted via the round slotted nut.  Not having taken it apart before, it appears that there is no way to adjust for evenness of plate lift.

I'll have to fettle an old ill-fitting C spanner this weekend before I can take it apart for further investigation.

Any observations\guidance is welcome.

Cheers,
Bevan

Regret cannot add anything. The only technical article I have (from Motor Cycling magazine in May 1955) on Sloper transmission only mentions the clutch very briefly and the adjustment not at all.
