spitfire frame number

i have a 1966 spitfire mark 2, and i cannt find the frame number. i have looked on the downtube engine luge and every where else please can someone tell me where to look thanks

Almost certainly on the lug on front left down tube. Sometimes the stampings are quite faint, they are on a curved surface, and if the frame has been powder coated sometimes they are completely covered.
